Drone flying the policy is coming to make drone flying easier
It has not
been easy to fly small drones on a private level due to restrictions imposed by
the Civil Aviation Authority. However, some people have flown drones everywhere
without heeding the rules and regulations.
But this time it is easier to fly
the drone on the roof of the house or in a certain open place.
Considering
the overall situation, a policy in this regard is going to be approved to make
it easier to fly drones in the public interest. Which will be known as 'Drone
Registration and Aviation Policy-2019'.
If approved,
it will be easier to fly drones. The new policy will not require small,
light-weight drones to be allowed to fly in certain areas. According to the
policy, heavy drones except small drones will be given conditional
registration. Registration officials have confirmed this information.
In this
regard, the Chairman of the Air Vice-Marshal. Mofidur Rahman said, ‘Policies
were very important to ensure and control the use of drones. Although late, I
am getting a policy in this regard. This is a very positive step.
The policy
divides the use of drones into several categories. These classes are for
entertainment Non-commercial work such as education-research Use for
commercial and professional purposes in public-private sector surveys, stills,
film production, feasibility study of development projects, etc. and for use in
state military needs.
The policy
refers to recreation - use for entertainment, group or personal photography,
children's toys, amateur management training, and hobbies.
n this case, the
owner of the drone should take care that the public is not harmed and the
privacy of the state is not harmed. Provision has been made for some
punishments for violators of the policy.
It is
learned that even though drones are allowed to fly in the country at present,
the import of drones is prohibited. In November 2015, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) imposed a ban on
drone imports.
The policy
states that drones can be imported in the manner prescribed by the government's
import policy and the Ministry of Commerce. However, if the drone weighs more
than 15 kg, you have to take a no-objection
letter from the Ministry of Defense six months before the import.
Under the new
policy, imported drones will be registered without registration and provide
identification numbers. Which must be displayed visually on the drone. However,
the policy does not provide for the import and registration of drones for use
in state and military purposes.
At the same
time, registration will not be given if A-class (for entertainment) drones
weigh more than 15 kg or are able to fly above 200 feet. According to the policy, drones will not be
allowed to fly in the green zone. However, in that case, the user has to abide
by some conditions.
Drones may not be flown at altitudes of more than 50 feet within three kilometers of the airport / KPI area, more
then 100 feet within five kilometers, and more
then 200 feet within 10 kilometers.
However,
drones will be allowed to fly in the Yellow Zone. Protected areas, military
areas, public meeting places have been identified as yellow zones in the
policy.
In addition, special permission will be required to fly drones in the
red zone. The policy identifies airports, KPIs, prohibited places, dangerous
places as red zones.
It is to be
noted that in the context of approval of drone flying, the policy has said that
after receiving the objection of six agencies, they will be allowed to fly
drones without any hesitation.
The agencies are Air Defense Operations Center,
Military Intelligence Directorate, National Security Intelligence Agency, Air
Intelligence Directorate, Police Headquarters, and Border Guard Headquarters.
